Special Needs
In 2005, Judy became certified as a Special Care Planner with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual). This certification followed an intensive educational commitment that is designed to familiarize planners with the wide range of resources available to families managing the care of a loved one with special needs.
Judy often provides information and collaborative assistance to colleagues whose clients must deal with special needs planning.
Judy’s membership in the Daughters of the Nile, a women’s Masonic organization deeply committed to the work of Shriners Hospitals, is a further measure of her strong motivation for this opportunity. She is often involved in supportive activities for various area organizations that focus on special needs, such as Easter Seals' Walk With Me and Special Olympics Events.
Special Care Planner
MassMutual, in response to the concern expressed by financial planners across the country, developed this certification program more than six years ago.
The program provides regular review conferences so that Special Care Planners can remain current with changes in tax regulations, potential government benefits, and organizational resources.
